About Me

Hi! I am Yunus Cem Yılmaz. I am starting my career as an Associate in Analysis Group. I earned my PhD in Applied Economics from Northeastern University and my Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and History from Koç University.

My main research areas are industrial organization, labor economics and development economics. More specifically, I am interested in the welfare effects of regulations, education reform and labor market effects, political Islam and its effects.

In my free time I like learning about, repairing and driving cars, watching movies, and playing and watching basketball and tennis.

I have been happily married for the last four years to my lovely partner Gizem Kaftan. She is a third-year political science PhD student in Boston University. You can check her website here.
